Ditigal canon is delete

The private copying levy or digital canon is a charge imposed on various recording media with the proceeds received by authors, editors, producers and artists, an entity associated with private management of copyright in return for copies that are made from their jobs in the private sphere.

Additional provision BOE 10 December 30, 2011 is arranged
Tenth. Changing the rules of fair compensation for private copying.

1. Deletion of the fair compensation for private copying, under Article 25 of the Consolidated Copyright Act, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1 / 1996 of April 12, with the limits set out in Article 31.2 of the same Act .

2. The Government shall specify by regulation the procedure for payment to recipients of fair compensation for private copying under the State Budget.

3. The amount of compensation is determined based on the estimate of the damage.
